According to the popular daytime television show “The Today Show,” Sarasota has been ranked as the second-best place to live in the United States.
As per the ranking released on July 10 by Frances Katzen, a real estate broker with Douglas Elliman, Sarasota is one of the top five “booming” cities in the United States this year. It ranks just behind Round Rock, Texas, a suburb of Austin, for the most growth.
According to Katzen, factors like schools, cost of living, outdoor activities, job stability, and personal growth opportunities all play a role in determining the quality of life for those searching for a place to live after the pandemic.

Sarasota has been receiving numerous accolades lately, with the latest being a Monday ranking that adds to the city’s already impressive list of achievements. It has consistently been recognized as a top place to retire by U.S. News & World Report for several years now.

Based on the 2023 list released by PODS moving company, Sarasota is one of the top 20 cities where people are moving to across the country. It has been ranked second on the list, which is one spot lower than its first-place ranking on the 2022 list.
During spring, BonusFinder.com conducted an online survey and ranking which revealed that Sarasota was the fourth-best party city among more than 100 cities in the United States. The survey took into account several criteria such as the number of live music events, nightclubs, bars, casinos, adult entertainment venues, and late-night restaurants. The website used this data to compile a list of the top 10 cities that are hotspots for partygoers.

According to an online survey conducted by Shane Co., a jewelry company, nine factors were considered to rank cities in the United States. Statistics such as the number of jewelry stores, wedding photographers, and romantic and fine dining establishments were used for comparison. Sarasota ranked in the top five cities, following Las Vegas, Honolulu, Albuquerque, and Los Angeles, which were larger markets.
Out of all the cities in Florida, only Sarasota made it to the top 10 cities on the list of 100 best places to propose. Following Sarasota, Fort Myers and Orlando were ranked as the 14th and 18th best cities to pop the question, respectively, according to the ranking.
